Trailer of ‘Aali Mothi Shahani’ released!

The film’s teaser had already introduced a little girl expressing her wish to Lord Ganesha: “I want to grow up.”  That innocent desire sparked many questions in the audience’s mind, and now the full trailer is out.  The trailer offers a glimpse of an amusing tale built around this child’s wish and the funny situations that arise from it, while keeping the suspense alive about what form this wish eventually takes.

The narrative appears to revolve around the little girl’s imagination of “wanting to be big,” with important characters played by Hruta Durgule and Sarang Sathe.  As this marks their first on-screen pairing, there was already curiosity about their combination.  The trailer highlights Hruta’s character prominently, while also giving hints about Sarang’s role in the story.  Exactly how these two are connected to the child’s life, however, will only be revealed when the film releases.

Writer-director Anand Dilip Gokhale explains that the story of ‘Aali Mothi Shahani’ begins from a very simple wish, but as the plot unfolds around it, multiple layers emerge.  He adds that children’s thoughts and their small wishes lead to many situations, and the film will show what kind of story finally takes shape around this one desire.

Producers Isha Muthe and Shruti Sathe note that the simplicity of the story is the film’s specialty.  While the world of children is at its core, many elements will feel relatable to adults as well, and the Hruta–Sarang pairing adds another dimension to the narrative.

‘Aali Mothi Shahani’, written and directed by Anand Dilip Gokhale, is produced by Jaykumar Munot, Isha Muthe, and Shruti Sathe.  It is presented by Fine Brew Productions and True Hope Films Work, and stars Hruta Durgule and Sarang Sathe in lead roles.  The film is scheduled for release on 2 October.
