A New Bridge Between India And Global Cinema: Vikrant More Takes Indian Independent Short Films To Venice!

Following seven successful years at the Cannes Short Film Corner, Vikrant More expands his international footprint to the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

Film promoter Vikrant More continues his mission to bring Indian independent cinema to global stages, taking his initiative to the 83rd Venice International Film Festival in Italy. As the first person from India to establish a dedicated Short Film Corner presence at the Cannes Film Festival for the past seven years, More is now expanding these opportunities for emerging Indian talent in Venice.

This year, through his organizations—the Indian Panorama International Film Festival Organisation and the Bharat International Film Festival Organisation—More is presenting a curated selection of 11 Indian short films and their directors with physical screenings at the VPG Venice Market.

The initiative serves as a direct bridge for independent Indian filmmakers, offering them a global platform to showcase their work, interact with international buyers, and network with film industry professionals from around the world.

The physical international festival screenings are organized annually in association with sales agency Wings To Bollywood Entertainment, supporting the broader push to elevate Indian cinema globally. From Cannes to Venice, Vikrant More’s ongoing efforts highlight a growing movement to integrate Indian independent storytelling into the international film festival circuit.
