Amruta Khanvilkar Unveils the Teaser of Director Sujay Dahake’s ‘Tujhya Aaila’!

The teaser of the upcoming Marathi film ‘Tujhya Aaila’, produced under the strategic partnership between Panorama Studios, Cult Digital and Prakash Films, was recently unveiled by popular actress #AmrutaKhanvilkar. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sujay Dahake, the film is scheduled to release in theatres across Maharashtra on September 25.

Unveiling the teaser, Amruta Khanvilkar praised Sujay Dahake’s distinctive storytelling and the film’s intriguing premise.

Speaking about the teaser, Amruta said, “The first glimpse of any Sujay Dahake film always comes with a sense of intense curiosity. You hit play on the teaser, and within 10 seconds, you’re completely sucked into his world—a world where he is unabashedly and unapologetically himself. That’s exactly what I felt watching Tujhya Aaila. The teaser is right in your face. It doesn’t shy away, hide, or hold back from telling you what this film is about. And somehow, that honesty is what makes it so intriguing. So get ready to be on the edge of your seats, because Tujhya Aaila feels like it’s going to take you straight back to a piece of your childhood—raw, nostalgic, chaotic and deeply familiar.”

Known for acclaimed films such as ‘Shala’ and ‘Shyamchi Aai’, Dahake takes a bold and unconventional approach with ‘Tujhya Aaila’, exploring a socially relevant subject through a unique narrative. The filmmaker aims to spark conversations around the impact of verbal abuse and the normalisation of abusive language in everyday life.

Without revealing the film’s central mystery, the teaser leaves viewers intrigued about the nature of the game and the message behind it. The film’s tagline, “Shivi nay, khelach naav hay te” (It’s not an abuse, it’s the name of the game), reinforces its central theme.

Speaking about the film, director Sujay Dahake said, “I have always been fascinated and troubled by verbal abuse. Today, it has become normalised in our culture, yet its impact runs deep. Particularly when such words are used in reference to mothers, who embody love and respect for us, it raises questions about the roots of such language. Through this film, I want to initiate a conversation—both offline and online—about the power of words and the harm they can cause.”

‘Tujhya Aaila’ is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Muralidhar Chhatwani under Panorama Studios; Suunil Jaiin, Aditya Joshi under Cult Digital; and Rajesh Singh under Prakash Films. Sushant Vengurlekar, Mohit Aroora and Meghana Pramanik serve as co-producers.

The film features Rajshri Deshpande, Rohini Hattangadi, Sambhaji Bhagat, Abhijit Thite, Soham Babar and Abhishek Zende in pivotal roles, along with a talented ensemble of child artistes.

Tujhya Aaila is slated for a theatrical release across Maharashtra on September 25.
