Anupam Kher Confirmed as the Voice of Jatayu in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, Puts Amitabh Bachchan Rumours to Rest!
Nitesh Tiwari’s #Ramayana stands as one of the most anticipated releases of the year, continually generating buzz for its massive scale, groundbreaking technology, and stellar ensemble cast. While audiences have already had glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor embodying Lord Ram and key members of the stellar cast, another pivotal casting decision has now been confirmed: legendary actor Anupam Kher has joined the epic project.
While he won’t be appearing on screen in a physical avatar, Anupam Kher will lend his voice to the revered bird Jatayu in Ramayana. Prior to this confirmation, reports had widely speculated that Amitabh Bachchan would voice the character, but this official update puts those rumours to rest.
Jatayu plays a crucial role in the saga, heroically battling Ravana to prevent Maa Sita’s abduction. The high-stakes clash between Jatayu and Ravana is anticipated to be one of the cinematic highlights of the film when it arrives in theatres this Diwali.
Apart from Kher, the makers had introduced Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Kunal Kapoor as Indra Dev and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpankha, at the special event held in Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam last weekend. The trailer of Ramayana: Part 1 is slated to release this Friday.
