News: Almost after a century of years a pandemic in the form of Corona virus hit the world claiming millions of lives. Multiple lockdowns were imposed and the countries closed their boundaries.

Due to the sealed borders no air traffic could take place. All business houses and businessmen were wailing as the flow of income was stopped. But the common person too was suffering as there was no source of income available due to the aftermath of COVID 19.

After almost two years things started to get normalised but most of the businesses, including Airlines, started to fill their coffers by increasing the price of the goods and/or services.

Though they want to cover the losses occurred due to Covid they forget the basic fact that their customers were too at a receiving end during the same period. So is it justifiable to recover covid losses from the common people who too were sufferers.

It is noticed that the Airline sector too has increased their fares exorbitantly. Their logic being suffering losses during lockdowns. But they are putting their

hand in people’s pockets who too did not have a source of income during lockdowns.

It’s unreasonable on Airline’s part to fleece people by increasing fares exorbitantly. The crew of the airline is protected by law. If any passenger misbehaves or even talk in a slight loud tone, the Airline will throw that law on his face, but what about passenger’s rights? If a crew misbehaves, then which law applies?

The no frill Airlines are not offering anything except a cramped seat in the aeroplane. Even the foreign Airlines are no exceptions. FinnAir do offer high price tickets but the customer has to pay separately for extras which were free earlier. While travelling from Frankfurt to Las Vegas and Las Vegas to Munich.

We experienced a lot of difficulties. To start with, both the flights were delayed. We had to literally run to catch our connecting flights.

Then the passengers have to Purchase earphones if they want to enjoy the inflight entertainment channels. The cost of earphones is meagre, still Eurowings, which handles FinnAir for the above mentioned sector, compels passengers to buy earphones for Euro 3-5. They even didn’t provide blankets. In fact they sold blankets for Euro 9.5 to those who needed them.

On top it, it was noticed that the temperature of air conditioning in the airplane was kept low so that maximum number of blankets could be sold. In long haul flights, it’s mandatory for the airlines to provide blankets free of cost but they seem to be recovering losses of Covid period using these cheap tactics.

Even meals served are snacks, biscuits/cookies with beverages. Once the crew closed the serving bar one hour before the landing, depriving passengers even liquids. Moreover the seats are so near that there’s hardly any leg space.

These Airlines should understand that major bulk of their earnings is from Economy class passengers, but still they are neglected. They must understand that though there’s no alternative to flying, there’s definitely alternative Airlines.
