Asha Bhosle’s Final Playback Song ‘Ae Meri Zindagi’ To Release On Her Birthday; Featured In ‘Om Ka Hari’!
In a deeply poignant musical tribute to one of Indian cinema’s most iconic voices, legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle’s final recorded film song, “Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan,” will feature in the upcoming drama-comedy Om Ka Hari.
The heartfelt track, celebrating the beauty of life and love, will be officially launched on September 8, marking Asha Bhosle’s birth anniversary as a tribute to her extraordinary legacy. Recorded in late 2023, the song holds profound emotional weight for the film’s narrative.
Directed by Harish Vyas and produced under the banner of First Ray Films, Om Ka Hari is a father-son relationship drama-comedy featuring an ensemble cast led by Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, and Ayesha Kapur. At its core, the film delves into generational divides and the timeless conflict of father versus son, highlighting the courage required to express unsaid emotions.
Reflecting on the song’s release, director Harish Vyas shared, “Launching the song on her birthday is intended as a celebration of Asha Ji’s timeless voice, her immense legacy and the generations of listeners whose lives her music has touched.”
Actor Anshuman Jha expressed his personal connection to the track, stating, “Om Ka Hari is deeply special to me because, at its heart, it is about the importance of saying ‘I love you’ to your father, something I never got the chance to do. To have Asha Ji’s voice carry the song that represents the catharsis of the film is one of the most profound and memorable moments of my life as an artist. Being in the studio with her was pure joy and contentment. I only wish she were here in person to celebrate this moment with us. But I know she is always with us in spirit, in her music, and in every life her voice continues to touch.”
Harish Vyas has previously helmed acclaimed titles including Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain and Disney+ Hotstar’s Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele.
