Awarapan 2 Dominates the Box Office, Crossing ₹84.31 Crore in India and ₹120 Crore Worldwide Over Opening Weekend

#EmraanHashmi starrer emerges as a Global Hit and records the third-highest opening weekend of 2026

Awarapan 2 has taken the box office by storm, kicking off its theatrical run with an impressive ₹84.31 crore nett domestically and around ₹120.86 crore globally. The action-drama launched with ₹23.40 crore on Independence Day, climbed to ₹34.09 crore on Saturday, and added ₹26.82 crore on Sunday. This massive surge makes it the third-highest opening weekend of 2026, while a strong overseas pull of $1.9 million (around ₹18 crore) helped propel its worldwide gross past the ₹120 crore mark to secure Global Hit status.

The film has also registered the fourth-highest Independence Day weekend collection of the last decade (2015–2025), reflecting the massive audience response across markets. The blockbuster response marks a powerful return for Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit, with audiences embracing the character and the world of Awarapan 2. Produced by Vishesh Films, the film successfully carries forward the legacy of the much-loved franchise.
