Bapya

‘Bapya’ explores Tlthe tangled web of relationships and a crazy tale of friendship, trailer out!

The trailer of “Bapya”, a film that presents confusion in friendship, love, and relationships in a different style, has finally been released for the audience. Already in the news because of its posters and songs, the film has now grabbed viewers’ attention by offering a direct glimpse of the story through its trailer.

In the trailer, the character “Bapya,” played by Rajshri Deshpande, is at the centre. Her journey from “Shailaja to Shailesh” and the upheaval this change brings to her relationships are highlighted prominently in the trailer. We see that she is already married to Girish Kulkarni and they also have a son. But at the same time, Girish’s other life also comes to light, and this is where the tangle of all these relationships begins to grow. Why confusion arises in relationships and what exact role the friendship captured in the line “Apli yaari… gavavar bhaari!” plays in all this, is shown in glimpses in the trailer.

The trailer blends light-hearted moments with emotional scenes quite well. The performances of Girish Kulkarni, Rajshri Deshpande, Devika Daftardar, Shrikant Yadav, and Aryan Mengji come across effectively and hint at the film’s unique narrative treatment. Presented by Working Eye Films, the film is directed by Sameer Tiwari and produced by Mutkal Telang and Sameer Tiwari.

Director #SameerTiwari says, “‘Bapya’ is a story that revolves around relationships, but it is not straightforward, it is complex. Through the trailer we have given just a glimpse of those relationships. The journey from ‘Shailaja to Shailesh’ is not just one person’s journey; it is about acceptance, change, and understanding oneself. This story has friendship, love, tensions, and also the strength to rise above all of it. Our effort is to give the audience an experience that keeps them connected to themselves and engaged right till the end. The line ‘Apli yaari… gavavar bhaari!’ ties all these relationships together.”

After the trailer, expectations from “Bapya”, which is releasing on May 15, have grown even further.
