‘Bhootam Bhayam’ reveals another surprise: Priyadarshan Jadhav as the mysterious ‘Maya’!

Zee Studios presents and Kayra Kumar Creations produces the much-talked-about Marathi horror-comedy Bhootam Bhayam, which has opened widely to enthusiastic audience response. Praised for its seamless blend of horror, comedy and mystery, the film now brings viewers an additional surprise.

While the cast already boasts strong performers, the makers have just unveiled another key character. Actor-writer-director Priyadarshan Jadhav appears in the film as the enigmatic and unconventional ‘Maya’.
Maya is an eccentric, unfathomable presence who continually keeps the audience guessing. Each of his actions conceals a layer of mystery and he steers the story into unexpected directions. Who is Maya? What is his connection to the events unfolding on screen? And what role does he ultimately play? Those answers will only be revealed when you watch the film.

On the role, Priyadarshan Jadhav said, “Being part of Bhootam Bhayam was a unique and delightful experience for me. From the moment I first heard about Maya, I was drawn to her unusual nature. At first glance she may seem ordinary, but she’s filled with hidden secrets. Capturing her mannerisms, body language, delivery and the mystery beneath was a major challenge as an actor. Playing a character like this gave me opportunities to try something new in every scene. I’m confident Maya will shock audiences and remain with them long after the film ends.”

Bhootam Bhayam is written and directed by Ramchandra Arun Gavankar, and produced by Naren Kumar and Mahesh Gyanadev Korade, with Bavesh Janvalekar presenting. The film features important roles from Karan Sonawane, Neel Salekar, Saurabh Ghadge, Shubham Jadhav, Siddhant Sarfare, Manmeet Pem, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Chhaya Kadam and Priyadarshan Jadhav.
