Ever since its launch, ShemarooMe Box Office has streamed the most diverse kinds of cinema for audiences. You think of it, ShemarooMe Box Office has it! The OTT service now brings Tamil flick Varmaa to home screens. The much publicized remake of Arjun Reddy made its debut on ShemarooMe Box Office on the 6th of October.

Starring Dhruv Vikram, son of legendary superstar Chiyaan Vikram, the film is helmed by National award winning director Bala. While the original told the story of a rebellious and macho doctor who falls for one of his juniors, and the wild dive his life takes when things don’t work out, the remake promises to retain its soul while also bringing in fresh elements.

Regional cinema has been the toast of the town off-late, and if the growing social media popularity is anything to go by, the love of regional stories is going to explode in the coming years. As a home-grown brand, Shemaroo has never forgotten to uphold the brilliance of regional cinema. It has a rich history of promoting the finest of local content. Continuing this tradition, ShemarooMe Box Office is hitting all the right notes too, by bringing such a powerful Tamil film for audiences to mark its very first regional release.

“Anyone who has loved and lost will cherish our film”, says lead actress Megha Chowdhury, essaying the role of Dhruv’s love interest in the film. “I am glad that ShemarooMe Box Office is backing our labour of love and that we are its maiden Tamil release. Varmaa is a passionate and honest tale of pain and romance”, she adds.

The trailer of the film has already seen netizens go crazy over its intense look and feel. Director Bala is always known to explore dark and different subjects, bringing a real and raw perspective towards them. If the buzz is anything to go by, Varmaa may add another winner to his kitty.

Varmaa, directed by Bala and starring Dhruv Vikram, Megha Chowdhury and Raiza Wilson, is available on ShemarooMe Box Office.
