Imtiaz Ali Revives Old‑World Romance in ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’!

For #ImtiazAli, love is a path traced in lingering looks, half‑spoken lines and memories that won’t let go. His upcoming film, Main Vaapas Aaunga, follows one such enduring voyage of the heart. The cast includes #DiljitDosanjh, #NaseeruddinShah, #VedangRaina and #Sharvari, and the story blends a contemporary sensibility with gentle wit to probe deep human connections. After a warmly received teaser and evocative songs, the newly released trailer offers a fuller glimpse into this tale of love, longing and belonging.

The film reunites the celebrated trio A.R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil and Imtiaz Ali — a collaboration responsible for some of Indian cinema’s most resonant songs, including the tracks already released from this project.

On the trailer, Imtiaz Ali remarks, “What did we leave behind? What love did we carry in our hearts when time carried us across borders? Main Vaapas Aaunga is a personal story about a love that lived on in someone’s heart for 78 years after Partition.
