Making the ‘#MusicanaMausam’ this weekend, Sony Entertainment Television’s prestigious singing reality show, ‘#IndianIdolSeason13’ for the first time will witness veteran and evergreen actors of Bollywood #Tanuja and #SharmilaTagore grace the Saturday & Sunday episodes respectively for the ‘#LeadingLadiesSpecial’ episodes. Talking about the singing talent, ‘Kolkata Ki Shaan’ #AnushkaPatra will be seen giving a wondrous performance on the song ‘Raat Akeli Hain’ which not only amaze the judges – Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani but also Tanuja ji. So much so, while in conversation with Tanuja Ji, Anushka will reveal on how she researched on Tanuja ji and learnt that she was the one who choregraphed the soulful song ‘Raat Akeli Hain.’
Elaborating further, Anushka Patra adds, “Before the performance, I did some research on Tanuja ji and learnt that she was the one who choreographed the song ‘Raat Akeli Hai.’ This piece of information really intrigued me as both Tanuja ji and Dev Anand Ji are my favorite actors. Hence, I wanted to know her experience choreographing the same and she was kind enough to share her experience.”
Responding to Anushka’s question, Tanuja shared, “Despite the dance master’s best efforts, Dev Anand Sahab was unable to learn the dance steps. I also asked them, how would the choreography look on screen if I am the one who will be only dancing not Dev Anand Sahab. As a result, we all sat there discussing how we would go about doing this. Later, all of the choreographers agreed that since I was familiar with the step, I could make it a little easier for Dev Sahab, Hence, they asked me to choreograph the song however I wanted. The main idea to choreography this song was that I wanted to have fun while shooting, and I must say, I did.”
