‘KGF’ Fame Garuda Ram Joins Cast of Marathi Film Devghar On Rent; Releases Sept 25

Marathi cinema’s growing global recognition continues to attract talent from across India. Director #SwarooppSawants upcoming film #DevgharOnRent—already generating curiosity with its intriguing title and premise—adds further pan-Indian flavour with the inclusion of South Indian actors and high-octane action technicians. The film releases on September 25 across Maharashtra and in Belgaum, Hyderabad, Indore and Baroda.

Presented by Anandi Pictures Amravati and produced by Radhakrushna Production, Devghar On Rent is produced by Sachin Rode Patil and Poonam Chaudhary Patil. The concept comes from Poonam Chaudhary Patil, while Sanjay Navgire has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Swaroopp Sawant, currently in the headlines for his film Maharashtra Epstein Files, directs.

The makers recently announced that Shravan Raghavendra and Garuda Ram (known for KGF) play pivotal roles. True to its title, Devghar On Rent weaves spirituality into a contemporary narrative and delivers a strong dose of action. To realize that action on screen, the film brings in Karthik Dangari—the action designer behind Pushpa—promising gripping sequences and production values comparable to mainstream Hindi and South Indian films.

Producer Sachin Rode Patil said powerful action was integral to the story and that the team aimed to deliver full entertainment. Director Swaroopp Sawant added that Dangari was chosen for his ability to serve the screenplay, not merely to add South-Indian flair; the action is woven into a drama-driven narrative. Both Garuda Ram and Shravan Raghavendra bring extensive South Indian film experience and were cast to lend conviction to two important roles.

The ensemble cast includes Nikhil Chavan, Ankit Mohan, Bhau Kadam, Shashank Shende, Ashwini Chavare, Vaibhav Chavan, Suresh Vishwakarma, Anil Nagarkar, Siddheshwar Jhadbuke and Gautami Patil. Music is by S. Sagar and Kabir Shakya, choreography by Kishor Dalvi, and cinematography by Chaitanya Salunkhe. Rohit Nagbhide provides the background score, with Dilip Kandhare as art director, Apeksha Gandhi Soni on costumes, and Sujit Survase handling makeup. Anuneha Ghodke is the executive producer and Yash Sanas the production manager; Akshay Londhe handled sync sound, Sharma’s team oversaw lighting, and Vijay Mhaske served as production head.
