Kit Harington Joins HBO’s Harry Potter Series As Gilderoy Lockhart; Premiering Exclusively On JioHotstar In India!

Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has officially joined the cast of HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series, taking on the role of the charismatic Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, for Season 2. He steps into the role replacing Nicholas Hoult, who departed the production owing to scheduling conflicts.

Harington joins an ensemble cast featuring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, and Janet McTeer as McGonagall.

In India, Season 1, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, will premiere exclusively on JioHotstar this Christmas, with Season 2 to follow on the platform.
