Life may be a test but on #SonyEntertainmentTelevision and #SonyLIV ‘s ‘#MasterChefIndia’, every day is a challenge for the #Top16 contestants! #India finally has its 16 home cooks who have been chosen by the judges, the Chefs #RanveerBrar, #GarimaArora and #VikasKhanna. The top 16 home cooks who were chosen are Priyanka Kundu Biswas from Kolkata, Aruna Vijay from Chennai, Urmila Jamnadas from Mumbai, Priya Vijan from Bangalore, Dyuti Banerjee from Kolkata, Avinash Patnaik from Bhubaneswar, Santa Sarmah from Jagiroad Vill Amlighat, Nazia Sultana from Guwahati, Gurkirat Singh from Sirsa, Yashu Verma from Gazipur City, Kamaldeep Kaur from Ludhiana, Sachin Khatwani from Lucknow, Suvarna Vijay Bagul from Mumbai, Deepa Chauhan from Bangalore, Nayanjyoti Saika from Tinsukia, and Vineet Yadav from Lucknow.

In the week that will be, the home cooks will be judged on the same three parameters of TIP- Taste, Innovation and Presentation. There would be different and unique challenges presented to the home cooks and it is yet to be seen who will achieve success in the kitchen. Whether it be plating Asia or using both strengths and weaknesses to create a unique dish, the contestants will have to bring the heat to face the cold judgements of the Chefs. Chef Garima Arora would be making the contestants emotional by talking about her journey to being a three times Michelin star awardee, something the women home cooks would especially relate to. A mystery box will also make a striking entry as Chef Guntas Sethi becomes the special guest of the day. She would be introducing the home cooks to the wonders of European cuisine, which is her speciality. Not only that but it will also be revealed that the President of India has invited Baa, MasterChef India’s very own Urmila Asher!
