Producer Bunty Singh has produced ‘Rashtra’ under the banner Inder International. This movie is written, directed and edited by Inderpal Singh. The presence of an actor like Vikram Gokhale has taken ‘Rashtra’ to a different level. All the characters played by Gokhale so far have been appreciated by everyone from the audience to the critics.
Along with Vikram Gokhale, the film also stars Mohan Joshi, Rohini Hattangadi, Milind Gunaji, Reema Lagoo, Sanjay Narvekar, Ganesh Yadav and others. Apart from this, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan’s Raju Shetty, two political leaders play important roles in ‘Rashtra’. Director Inderpal Singh has expressed the feeling that Vikram Gokhale, who has succeeded in making his mark in Hindi as well as Marathi, played an important character in ‘Rashtra’ and helped to raise a very important issue prevalent in the society. Composers Nikhil Kamat and Inderpal Singh have composed the music for this film.
The film ‘Rashtra’ strongly comments on the current political situation. It focuses on the issue of reservation. Inderpal, who is directing Marathi cinema for the first time, has tried to give a new definition of reservation through this film.
