Nicholas Galitzine Discusses the Gruelling Physical Transformation He Underwent for ‘He-Man and The Masters of the Universe’!
Following the Brazil premiere, the full cast of He-Man and The Masters of the Universe touched down in London for the UK premiere. On the red carpet, lead actor Nicholas Galitzine discussed the gruelling physical transformation he underwent to portray Prince Adam — better known as He-Man — in the live-action fantasy epic. He described the intensive preparation required to bring the storied hero to life.
A standout detail from his training was the amount of weight he lifted. Galitzine recalled, “Initially we tracked the total kilograms I lifted each week. One week of weightlifting came to 100,000 kg.” When asked to estimate the full total over his training, he quipped that multiplying that weekly figure across the weeks in five months would equal “a few elephants.”
Galitzine added that his team monitored his weekly lifting totals as the regimen grew ever more demanding. His preparation spanned months and combined heavy weight training, cardio, stunt practice, and action choreography to ready him for the battles on Eternia.
The film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Travis Knight, features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Jared Leto as Skeletor, with Idris Elba portraying Man-At-Arms. Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, and Kristen Wiig (voice of Roboto) also appear. The movie seeks to revive a beloved fantasy franchise for a new generation.
Sony Pictures Releasing International will release He-Man and The Masters of the Universe in cinemas on 5 June 2026, with English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam language options.
