Nimrat Kaur Shares Her Pride as an Alum of SRCC on Its Centenary Celebration!

For Nimrat Kaur, graduating with a B.Com (Honours) degree from SRCC in Delhi University remains one of the most cherished chapters of her youth. The actress recently reflected on her deep connection to the institution, fondly recalling her student days as the pivotal phase where she performed on stage for the very first time and discovered her passion for acting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised the legacy of Delhi University’s Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) upon its completion of 100 years, calling its alumni the “OGs” and a flex in its own, who carried the institution’s name across the world and have left an impact across fields.

When Kaur returned to her alma mater SRCC in Delhi University’s North Campus to promote a project, she recalled her memories and shared,
“There is something very special about the old hangout spots. When I visited Shri Ram college, all the memories came rushing back to me. The nostalgia and pride of returning as a working actor is unparalleled. All of it had changed in so many years, and yet everything felt just the same. I sat down at my favourite hangout spots where I used to have Maggi and samosas, places where we were also ragged!”

Recalling her college days and her favourite hangout spots, she continued, “There was a football field, and nearby it was a little tapri called Irfan Chacha’s. I remember having my favourite coffee there. Nearby it was also a tree and I think it was called a wisdom tree. But, no luck there! (laughs)”

Looking back, Nimrat Kaur’s college days were loaded with fun, laughter and full of fond memories which not only became an important part of her journey, but continue to hold a special place in her heart.
