Satish Rajwade Returns as Inspector Gharge for ‘A Perfect Murder’!
‘A Perfect Murder’ is a Marathi stage thriller that has captivated audiences with its gripping intensity and spellbinding storyline. Based on a classic story by Sir Alfred Hitchcock, written by Neeraj Shirvaikar, and directed by Vijay Kenkre, the play is once again returning to the stage. Most notably, audiences’ favourite actor Satish Rajwade will once again be seen in the powerful role of Inspector Gharge.
The play has completed more than 350 successful shows, with #SatishRajwade having performed in nearly 120 of them. Speaking about returning to the role, Satish Rajwade said, “‘A Perfect Murder’ is the play through which I returned to the Marathi stage after 19 years. For this role, I received all the Best Supporting Actor awards that year. It is a character’s journey that has remained permanently connected to my heart. Returning to the same unit and the same role is a wonderful and emotional experience. Priya was a very close friend and co-artist during that journey, and we will always feel her absence.”
Highlighting that a comeback is as special as it is challenging for any artist, he added, “People’s expectations are higher, but that very challenge keeps an actor more alert. What matters is not how long a role is, but how much impact it creates on screen or stage. The role of Inspector Gharge gives me an excellent opportunity to make that impact. Since theatre offers direct feedback from the audience, the immediate energy one receives is a unique joy.”
Audiences coming forward to applaud the play after watching it, and many watching it 10 to 12 times, are the true testament to its success. Offering audiences the chance to experience a thriller that feels alive and visceral, the play continues to win hearts even today. This suspenseful experience will once again be presented through ‘Badam Raja Production.’ With its powerful blend of thrills, mystery, and outstanding performances, it is sure to remain a memorable experience for audiences!
