Shahzaad Mirza’s Latest Project, Samarpit, Sees Him Serving as Executive Producer!

For Shahzaad Mirza, the journey in cinema has never been about the spotlight. It has been about the work, the stories, and the people behind them. Over the last fifteen years, he has quietly built a career across writing, story development, screenplay support, and production, becoming part of projects that have contributed to his growth within the Hindi film industry.

His introduction to the world of films came in 2009 when he started working under the guidance of writer, director, and producer Ikram Akhtar. It was a period of learning, observation, and hands on experience, as Shahzaad Mirza became involved in the creative development process of films such as Baabarr, No Problem, Ready, and Thank You. Being part of these projects gave him an opportunity to understand filmmaking from the ground up and develop a strong foundation in storytelling.

The years that followed brought new opportunities and a wider range of projects. His association with films like Rafoo Chakkar: Fun on the Run, Ya Rab, India Mein Lahore, and I Love Dubai allowed him to work with different teams, explore different styles of storytelling, and continue expanding his experience within the industry.

As his understanding of filmmaking grew, so did the nature of his responsibilities. What began with story and screenplay related work gradually opened doors to production management and project coordination. Rather than staying within a single role, Shahzaad Mirza continued to explore different aspects of the filmmaking process, gaining experience on both the creative and practical sides of production.

That experience eventually led him to executive production. In 2025, he took on the role of Executive Producer for a music album project, managing key production responsibilities and helping bring the project together from concept to completion.

His latest project, Samarpit, sees him serving as Executive Producer on a Hindi feature film scheduled for release on 19 June 2026. For someone who started his journey learning the basics of story development, it represents another meaningful step in a career that has evolved steadily over the years.

More than anything, Shahzaad Mirza’s journey reflects patience and consistency. In an industry often defined by quick success stories, his career has been built through years of learning, adapting, and taking on new challenges. From assisting with stories to helping lead productions, he continues to move forward with the same commitment that first brought him into the world of cinema.
