Gracing the hotseat on #SonyTV’s ‘#KaunBanegaCrorepatiSeason14’, #ShashwatGoel of #NewDelhi would fulfil his mother’s dream as he would sit across from the host on the hotseat, ready to play the game on 10th and 11th October. #StrategyManager at an E-Commerce Company, the 31-year-old would keep a space empty in the audience seat as he would believe his late mother’s spirit is with him. Honouring his mother’s dream, Shashwat Goel would be playing the game using his sharp wit and intelligence, impressing Mr Bachchan as he moves on in the game and crosses the threshold of ‘Dhan Amrit’- 75 lacs as well as 1 crore using facts and logical reasoning.
In the game, the contestant would be talking about how his mother had always wanted her son to go to KBC as she was a devout fan of the show. Unfortunately, she passed away due to Covid before she could see her son grace the hotseat. When asked what he will do with the winning amount, he would say, “After my mother passed away, I have a different outlook on life. I have realised that all materialistic possessions will remain here as we move on from this life. My focus has been on my happiness and sharing that with people. I have not given thought to what I will do with the money, but my broad idea is to donate it to NGOs and old age homes. Either that or I will give it to those families who have faced difficulties due to Covid or are financially unstable. What happened to me is unfortunate, but I am fortunate enough that I am financially stable, so I did not have to think about money. There are many families where the main bread earner has passed away or there are orphaned children who must choose between mourning their parents and thinking about their next meal. Thus, I want to help people like them. Ultimately, what is the purpose of brief mortal life, if not the pursuit of legacy?” Mr Bachchan would be commending the contestant and his thoughts, saying how he respects him and his sense of direction in life, appreciating how he has thought for others before himself, something that people do not do in today’s day and age.
The contestant would be indulging the host in many conversations, talking about how he has been fond of quizzing since he was a young un’, showing Mr Bachchan some memes that he created for KBC and the host complimenting Shashwat Goel on an amazing gameplay. Shashwat Goel would be crossing both 75 lacs and 1 crore to attempt the 7.5 crore question but what remains to be seen is if he would become the second Crorepati of the season or not.
