For #SomyAli, nothing is bigger and better than saving precious lives from domestic violence and human trafficking. The former Bollywood actress runs a Miami-based #NGO called #NoMoreTears (#NMT) that provides immediate assistance to victims of abuse and trafficking, including shelter, survival needs, therapy, and medical assistance, among others. As of today, her NGO has saved 47,000 victims, and she took to her social media account to share it with the world.

She shared a video of herself, and with Coldplay’s Fix You playing in the background, she dedicated it to her mother, and all the people, from the donors to law enforcement, who have helped her achieve this milestone.

Her Instagram post read, “Today, we have officially reached a count of saving 47,000 women, children, men, and members of our LGBTQ communities nationally and internationally who have been victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. I dedicate this song to first, my mother, and then to the most courageous people I have encountered with @nomoretearsusa be it the law enforcement, the FBl, the human trafficking hotline operators, both nationally and internationally. And above all, to YOU, our donors. Without your help and support I couldn’t have imagined all the success @nomoretearsusa has achieved.”

It further read, “Trauma is a journey when it comes to healing and it’s okay to get on that journey. The pain becomes a part of us and there is no reset button, thus you must hold on to the pain and make the choice to begin living again. To put one foot in front of another. You will heal or you will be successful in spite of the trauma. The first victim we rescued in 2007, is now a doctor and a recurring donor to No More Tears. All because YOU CARED AND DONATED. #neverevergiveup #weallfalldown #nomoretearsusaorg
