The film’s landmark 2024 theatrical re-release proved its enduring appeal, setting new records as one of the highest-grossing re-released Indian films. Now, as hype builds around Tumbbad 2, audiences are thrilled to see this unique cinematic universe expand on a far greater scale, with the sequel promising an even more ambitious vision and grand visual spectacle.

Amid the growing excitement, Sohum Shah recently shared a special moment with his fans after receiving a handmade gift inspired by the world of Tumbbad. A fan presented the actor with a beautifully crafted statue of the Goddess from the film, making the gesture particularly special given the significance of the character in the folklore fantasy.

Sohum, who has always shared a close bond with the audience that has supported Tumbbad, decided to return the love in his own way. He shared a special video featuring the Goddess statue, giving fans a closer look at the handmade creation. However, the video comes with an intriguing question from Sohum, as he asks fans to guess what special detail is hidden in the statue.

Tumbbad 2 is being spearheaded by actor-producer Sohum Shah under his banner Sohum Shah Films, in collaboration with Pen Studios, headed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada. The film is directed by Adesh Prasad, who is helming the highly anticipated next chapter of the Tumbbad universe. Pen Studios, known for backing blockbuster films such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi, joins hands to bring the film to life on a grand cinematic scale. Tumbbad 2 is slated to release in cinemas on 3rd December 2027.
