Star Pravah’s ‘Bai Tuzha Aashirwad’ Welcomes Renowned Actor Sharad Ponkshe!

Excitement is building among viewers for Star Pravah’s new serial Bai Tuzha Aashirwad, premiering on April 27. In a strictly male-dominated household unused to a woman’s presence, Avni arrives—and that’s where a fresh journey of relationships begins. The show features several veteran artists, including superstar actor #SharadPonkshe, who plays Chandrakant Deshmane, Avni’s father.

Chandrakant Deshmane is a successful, wealthy entrepreneur from Nashik, immensely proud of his name and lineage. As a father, he adores Avni but holds patriarchal views. He makes decisions without consulting his daughter or wife, announcing them boldly. Temperamental, stubborn, and quick-tempered by nature, he believes girls need no education beyond what’s necessary for marriage—they should settle happily into family life. In the Deshmane household, girls get wings not to fly high, but to play in the courtyard until it’s time to wed. Yet Avni dreams of soaring to great heights, sparking an entertaining tale of conflict and growth.

Speaking about his role as Chandrakant Deshmane, Sharad Ponkshe said, “I’ve shared a long association with Star Pravah.
