Tamannaah Bhatia’s Red Eyes In ‘The Vvaan’ Teaser Spark Mystery: What Is Really Happening To Her Character?

For most of The Vvaan teaser, Tamannaah Bhatia appears as Mamta, wife to Sidharth Malhotra’s character—a figure grounded in faith, tradition, and the sacred rituals of her community. However, a sudden visual twist in the teaser shows Tamannaah featuring striking red eyes, transforming her seemingly straightforward character into a central enigma.

The film establishes Vvaan as no ordinary woodland, but a forbidden forest protected by an ancient goddess-like force that blurs the lines between divine protection and the supernatural. While Mamta is shown performing traditional rituals like Chhath Puja, her red-eyed glimpse raises intriguing questions: Is she merely caught in the supernatural battle surrounding Vvaan, or does she share a far deeper, intrinsic connection to the forest’s ancient power?

The teaser hints that the supernatural presence expands far beyond the forest boundary, with Mamta serving as a key point of contact. This visual shift sparks theories ranging from ritualistic possession to a deeper mythological reveal about her origin. Unlike Sidharth’s rational outsider character, Mamta’s established faith complicates her dynamic with the supernatural, moving away from conventional horror tropes.

Crafted by storytellers from TVF and Balaji Motion Pictures, The Vvaan marks a collaboration between Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra, and Ektaa R Kapoor. Aiming to take Indian folklore into the mainstream fantasy-adventure space, the universe is further expanded through The Legend of Vvaan comic book series.

Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, The Vvaan is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, with visual direction by Manu Anand. Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, the film hits theatres nationwide on September 25, 2026.
