Online profiles, a right swipe, a first chat—and then talk of marriage. As today’s generation searches for a partner in the digital world, Lagna Ani Barach Kahi follows the unexpected twists, rising expectations and changing dynamics on the journey from online romance to marriage.
The trailer for this entertaining film, directed by Vedanti Chandrakant Dani, was recently unveiled. Presented by Naad Studios and produced by Avyan Arts and Mhalsa Entertainment, the film also sees the release of two lively songs: “Mala Lagnachi Zaliya Ghai” and “Sakharpuda.”
Is marriage the happy ending to a love story—or the beginning of a new one? The film explores this question with humour and warmth. Starring renowned Marathi actors Pooja Sawant and Abhijeet Khandkekar in the lead roles, the trailer offers a glimpse of the film’s entertaining moments, emotional scenes and melodious songs.
Lagna Ani Barach Kahi is more than a film about marriage. It seeks to reflect the perspectives of today’s generation, the way people approach relationships, and the emotional world of women in particular. As times change, questions arise about love, marriage, identity, expectations in relationships and finding balance. The film takes on these themes in an engaging way, aiming to make audiences laugh while also giving them moments to reflect.
Popular singer Vaishali Samant was a special guest at the trailer and music launch. She has lent her melodious voice to the film’s songs and is also its music director. Other songs in the film feature celebrated singers Avadhoot Gupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, Suresh Wadkar, Maithili Joshi and Avani Tushar Nannajkar.
Alongside Pooja Sawant and Abhijeet Khandkekar, the film also features Akshaya Naik, Sukanya Gurav, Bharati Patil and other talented Marathi actors. The songs have already drawn attention, bringing together the emotions of love, the excitement of a wedding and the many shades of relationships—and adding to the anticipation for the film.
Directed by Vedanti Chandrakant Dani, Lagna Ani Barach Kahi is presented by Naad Studios and produced by Avyan Arts and Mhalsa Entertainment in association with Pickle Entertainment. Anjali Tushar Nannajkar and Dr Sanjana Suresh Pai are the producers, and Yashashri Masurkar has written the story.
