Mystery thrillers have always held a special place in the hearts of cinema lovers worldwide. Often, deeply moving incidents from society find their way onto the silver screen, but the mystery surrounding them continues to intrigue audiences. Marathi cinema has a rich tradition of such suspense-filled films, and ‘Drushya-Adrushya’ is poised to become a significant addition to that legacy. Having earned appreciation at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), ‘Drushya-Adrushya’ is all set to release in theatres across Maharashtra on June 19. The much-awaited trailer of this intriguing mystery thriller, presented by the makers of ‘Subhedar’, ‘Sher Shivraj’, and ‘Sapala’, was recently unveiled.

The trailer opens with Rohit, a key character in the film, being promised an incentive of ₹25 lakh. However, even his wife Tanvi is unaware of the reason behind this reward. Soon after, their young daughter Isha goes missing. The police enter the scene to investigate, but the hotel staff claim that Tanvi had arrived alone. With CCTV cameras mysteriously not functioning, contradictions in witness statements, the search for Isha, and an increasingly complicated investigation, the film promises a gripping game of what is visible and what remains hidden. As the mystery deepens, Rohit’s dead body is discovered, making the situation even more perplexing. Did the events narrated by Tanvi actually happen? Who is lying? Who is manipulating whom? Was Isha really kidnapped, or did she never exist at all? Who murdered Rohit? These questions form the core of the suspense. The film explores the delicate boundary between illusion and reality. The trailer’s tagline, “Is what we see always the truth? The unseen reality behind the visible…”, further heightens curiosity.
