Known for #outstandingperformances, #VikramGokhale breathed his last on Wednesday (23.11.22) #lateevening. He was 82. For the last #fortnight he was not keeping well and was hospitalised in #Pune’sDinanathMangeshkarHospital.
Vikram Gokhale acted along side Amitabh Bachchan in Agnipath and he was Big B’s one of the favourite actors. His portrayal in Salman Khan starrer and Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ as Aishwarya Rai’s father had received huge appreciation.
Vikram Gokhale acted in many Marathi and Hindi films. He showcased his acting talent in several Marathi films like Natsamrat, Pravas, AB and CD (which featured Amitabh Bachchan as a guest artiste), Aamuli, Godavari and countless Hindi films like Hey Ram, Hichki, Bhool Bhulaiya, Mission Mangal, Nikamma etc.
When he was a leading hero in Marathi cinema, he suddenly took a break to take up farming. After many years of farming, Vikram Gokhale returned to entertainment arena. Last year, he was elected as the President of CINTAA. Vikram Gokhale used to live in Sivananda Society at Vile Parle East in Mumbai. But now he shifted base to Pune where he used to runs an acting workshop.
Vikram Gokhale is survived by his wife and two daughters.
