Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: James Ghadge Takes Over the Role of Kabir Post-Leap!

Rajan Shahi’s hugely popular Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has officially taken a two-year leap, bringing fresh storylines, new relationships, and exciting twists. Along with the shift in narrative, the leap has also introduced notable cast changes, including key replacements among the characters.

The latest development that has caught everyone’s attention is the replacement of actor Aaditya Gupta, who was portraying the character of Kabir. The role will now be essayed by actor James Ghadge. The sudden change has come as a surprise to the show’s loyal viewers, many of whom were not expecting the character to be recast after the recent leap.

According to sources close to the production, Aditya Gupta’s exit has nothing to do with any disagreements or unprofessional behaviour. The replacement was made purely because of unavoidable circumstances. There is reportedly no bad blood between the actor and the production house, and both parties continue to share a cordial relationship. In fact, sources reveal that there is every possibility of Aaditya collaborating with the production house again in the future on another project.

James Ghadge, who has now stepped into the role of Kabir, is a familiar face in the entertainment industry. He began his acting journey as a child artist and gradually established himself through several popular television shows. His acting career dates back to 2015, with notable appearances in historical and mythological dramas such as Razia Sultan, Baal Krishna, Porus, Imlie, Punyashlok Ahilyabai, and Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan. Over the years, he has impressed audiences with his versatility across different genres.

Apart from television, James has also made his presence felt on the big screen with roles in Gumraah (2023) and OMG 2 (2023). He continued to expand his portfolio with projects such as Badi Heroine Banti Hai and Pehla Pyaar: Less Than 1% Chance in 2024, further strengthening his position as a promising young actor.

Meanwhile, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai continues to enjoy tremendous popularity among audiences across the country. The show consistently receives love from both the masses and the classes, not only through its television broadcasts but also on digital platforms. With the new leap, fresh characters, and James Ghadge taking over as Kabir, viewers are eager to see how the story unfolds in the coming episodes. @directorskutproduction
