The subject of Marathi comedy cinema can never be complete without the names of two veterans. Laxmikant Berde, the king of comedy and Dada Kondke, the emperor of ambiguous comedy. Both entertained the audience in Maharashtra and made a name for themselves. Newcomers Abhinay Berde and Mayuresh Pem paid homage to these two great comedians at the Zee Talkies Comedy Awards 2020.
This year’s Zee Talkies Comedy Awards’ look is little different. The nominees and guests at this year’s Zee Talkies Comedy Awards ceremony were virtually connected to each other. The highlight of the event is the explosive performance of Abhinay Berde and Mayuresh Pem. For this special performance, Mayuresh Pem dressed as Dada Kondke while Laxmikant Berde’s son Abhinay Berde dressed as Lakshya. Together, the two performed on veteran actors’ iconic evergreen songs. The audience will surely enjoy those performances.
Speaking about his performance, the actor Abhinay Berde said, “Baba’s birthday has just passed and I am happy that the Zee Talkies Comedy Awards gave me the opportunity to pay my respects to him. All his songs are very popular, I had a lot of fun performing his style on some of the selected songs. I performed the songs Navin Parrot Ha and Aashi Hi Banwa Banvi. It was filmed at the Zee Talkies Comedy Awards following all the SOps. The experience was different and very good.
