As the shoots are permitted in partial lift of lockdown, a Marathi film with an unusual concept, has commenced it’s shoot recently. There’s an addition to an adage ‘The show must go on’ and now in corona-times it should be “The show must go on but safety comes first.” By following the necessary safety guidelines, the makers of Marathi horror comedy ‘Zombivli’ have started its shooting in full swing. But here too is an additional announcement, ‘Lights, Camera, MASK ON, Action’.

Recently the Mahurat of ‘Zombivli’ took place and its shoot began with all the needed safety precautions in place. Marathi films have gained a lot of attention in the last few years due to the various unique narratives that are being produced, and even the audience has given a lot of love and support to these films. Zombivli’s first official poster and motion poster created a lot of buzz in the town as this will be the first-ever horror comedy film made in Marathi, featuring zombies. The motion poster had a touch of intrigue mixed with great visual scale, and this film which has a great starcast and a talented director at the helm, is on everybody’s radar now.

Most of the people might be very curious to know how shooting is continuing with these stringent guidelines in place, and how people are adapting to this new normal. The makers have provided the team with every sort of safety equipment – from masks, gloves, and PPE kits  – to be used by all the crew while shooting. Additionally the production house has also employed the services of a ‘Covid officer – a healthcare expert who ensures that every member present in the shoot is adhering to all the safety and hygiene guidelines. The footage that we have got from on-set shows how the team is taking care of each other by following necessary safety guidelines.

Zombivli is presented by Saregama, and produced under their film studio arm – Yoodlee Films. Amey Wagh, Lalit Prabhakar & Vaidehi Parshurami will be seen in the lead and is directed by noted Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar. This film is scheduled to hit theatres in 2021.
