Akshay Oberoi & Heli Daruwala’s ‘Nazar Lag Jayegi’ from ‘Love Lottery’ Released!

The makers of the forthcoming Hindi drama Love Lottery have unveiled the romantic single “Nazar Lag Jayegi,” picturized on leads Akshay Oberoi and Heli Daruwala. Sung by Javed Ali and Radhika Bhide, the melody is composed by Varun Mishra and Arvind Pandey, with Arvind Pandey also providing the lyrics. The track highlights the pair’s chemistry against the breathtaking backdrops of Uttarakhand, lending the song a gentle, heartfelt atmosphere.

Filmed amid Uttarakhand’s valleys, “Nazar Lag Jayegi” reveals the tender, emotional side of the characters played by Akshay and Heli. Their easy, natural rapport and the region’s serene vistas create an intimate visual tone. Cinematographer Naviin V. Mishra captures the landscape’s cinematic allure, while choreographer Devendra Chaturvedi ‘David’ keeps the movements understated and true to the song’s mood. The makers chose a restrained, organic treatment so the characters’ emotions remain the focal point rather than elaborate spectacle.

Director and music director Arvind Pandey says the aim was to portray the characters’ romantic depth authentically. He adds, “Uttarakhand’s raw, tranquil beauty suited the song perfectly. Akshay and Heli’s effortless chemistry needed no theatrical dressing. Musically, we wanted a soulful melody that resonates with their journey.”

Producer Kuldeep Bhargava ‘Tushar’ adds that Love Lottery deals with delicate themes and demanded a mature approach: “‘Nazar Lag Jayegi’ offers a window into the protagonists’ emotional bond before the plot turns more complex. The song had to feel relatable and sincere, and Uttarakhand’s landscapes elevated that sincerity.”

Produced by Cinema Ganj Films (Kuldeep Bhargava ‘Tushar’), Love Lottery is directed by Arvind Pandey and written by Ankur Khattri. Alongside Akshay Oberoi and Heli Daruwala, the film features Kabir Duhan Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Santosh Shukla, Hemant Pandey, Indira Krishnan, Agni Agyari, Vikramm Sharma, Kumar Saurabh, Ashwannt Lodhi and Arshdep Ssandhu. Key crew includes cinematographer Naviin V. Mishra, choreographer Devendra Chaturvedi ‘David’ and editor Prakash Jha.

While “Nazar Lag Jayegi” showcases the film’s romantic core, Love Lottery goes on to probe the complicated terrain of love, trust and marriage, steering its characters into suspense, conflict and courtroom battles. Touted as India’s first film to centre its narrative on men’s rights, Love Lottery approaches a largely underexplored subject through the prism of relationships and legal dilemmas. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on 18 September 2026.
