Ashish Kulkarni
When your work gets noticed that provides you motivation to do better. Actor Ashish Kulkarni feels the same given that the audience has been showing interest in his character Naveen Ghelamal Parekh in Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. Therefore, along with the team, Kulkarni is putting efforts to keeping viewers glued to the show and entertain them with his performance.

“Naveen is short-tempered. For him, his family, especially his daughter is a priority. He lost his wife at a very young age so he has raised his daughter along with his mother. He is pure by heart and for him every situation is either black or white. I am not totally like him in real life, especially don’t connect with his temper issue. But I guess that’s the charm,” he says.

Kulkarni shares that the title of the show makes one understand that this is all about love. “And our journey to find love is different from each other. The show is very close to my heart and the reason this song helped my wife and I profess love for each other. No one proposed but one day she sang this song during one of our family functions and that was it. Since that day, it was the beginning of the new journey,” says the actor, known for shows such as Aai Kuthe Kay Karte (Marathi show) and Rudram (Hindi show). He has also done theatre and worked on the web.

Sonali and Amir Jaffar of Full House Media are behind the show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha and the actor can’t stop praising the duo.

“Though because of this pandemic situation we have not interacted much yet but they are good human beings for sure. I see how much the team adores them, the good things about them and how the feeling around them is like that of a family. No doubt they know how to bind us all together in happiness,” he adds.

It is not easy to survive in showbiz. But when the team is good enough, like the one in the show, the journey becomes easier. “The best thing about this industry is that many things to offer but then it’s never an easy ride. It’s like the song… Kabhi Toh Hasaye, Kabhi Yeh Rulaye. On the kind of work that is being done in the industry now, it’s good that women-centric shows are dominating but not many are experimenting with content much, more or less it is TRP driven,” explains the actor, who after a hard day at work unwinds by spending time with family.

If not an actor what would you have been? “I would have been working in an advertisement firm. I have a marketing back ground,” pat comes the reply.

Much like many of his colleagues, Kulkarni too is worried about the second Covid wave in India. Shooting during this time is therefore a cause of concern. “These are difficult times, but if we take all precautions then we can definitely overcome. Our team is following all norms. I just wish people understand the gravity of the situation and cooperate,” he adds.
