The first half of this year has further reinforced that vision. Vipul Amrutlal Shah has delivered two massive hits: The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, and Governor, helmed by Chinmay D. Mandlekar. Reflecting on the successful first half of the year, he spoke about his belief in backing emerging filmmakers and nurturing fresh voices in Indian cinema.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah shared, “Cinema finds its best form when new eyes tell it, and this half of the year has been very rewarding for me with both my movies The Kerala Story 2 and Governor, which were directed by emerging filmmakers who are making their mark in the industry. They both delivered and proved that fresh voices can make good cinema.”
He adds, “My faith has always been in honesty, conviction, and a distinct vision rather than experience alone. As we move forward with our line-up, I remain committed to backing new talent and giving original storytellers the platform they deserve.” Both films, built around intense and compelling subjects, went on to become major successes, further reinforcing Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s reputation for backing impactful cinema.
Continuing this momentum, the filmmaker has an exciting slate of upcoming projects, the highly anticipated alien action thriller Samuk, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead.
