#AhmedKhan adorns his hat with many feathers, being a producer, director, writer, and maestro choreographer. While currently more focused on being a director and producer, he has previously assisted the late chorographer #SarojKhan ji in her dance pursuits. On Sony Entertainment Television’s #TheKapilSharmaShow when Ahmed Khan came to promote his production ‘Om-The Battle Within’ along with his wife, Shaira Khan, who graced the sets as co-producer of the film, let in on a secret! The model turned producer said that her husband can imitate Saroj Khan ji brilliantly, to the point where the lines between real and imitation blur!
Ahmed Khan, Shaira Khan graced the show with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjana Sanghi and director Kapil Verma to promote the action flick ‘Om-The Battle Within’. After a lot of coaxing, Ahmed Khan did agree to dance. Before that, he also spoke about how he rehearsed with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, to turn him into Laila, the main antagonist in his own directorial ‘Heropanti 2’. Asking him to only do hand movements for his character, Ahmed Khan said that he was inspired by Saroj ji’s hand movements when he asked Nawazuddin Siddiqui to use his wrist and hand to establish Laila to the viewers. “I have learned the art of dance and expressions from Saroj ji. Her expressions were brilliant! Whenever she used to dance, there was magic in her hands. A small part of her skills have been passed down to me and so I have achieved such success!”, said Ahmed Khan.
He then danced to the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche’ making everyone relive their memories of the legendary choreographer Saroj ji. It truly felt like Saroj Khan was dancing to the song, he danced with such grace and intuition! Wowing everyone, the guests, host Kapil Sharma and Archana Puran Singh, Ahmed Khan was showered with cheers and thunderous claps as he concluded his performance!
An enamored Archana Puran Singh then said, “This was actually a tribute to Saroj ji!”
