Putting the spotlight on topics uncharted by the Indian film industry, Ayushmann Khurrana has made his presence felt on the silver screen and claimed people’s hearts. On Sony Entertainment Television’s #TheKapilSharmaShow, the actor came to promote his new film ‘#Anek’ along with co-actor #AndreaKevichusa and director #AnubhavSinha. The trio spoke about the film and the message behind it with the conversation started by Ayushmann who answered host #KapilSharmas question about what the film is about.
According to the actor, “Anek’s message is that in our country, people follow different religions, speak different languages, and dress differently, yet they all share the same enthusiasm. Our film’s message is “anekta mein ekta” (togetherness in our diversity).”
He also spoke about filming in the Northeast, “We had such fun filming in the region. It’s such a beautiful place, our Northeast, it’s such an unexplored territory. We shot in Assam, Meghalaya, and Shillong, which is known as ‘Scotland of the East’. Even if you go there as a tourist, it would be a pleasurable experience for you. It’s an unexplored territory for the Indian film industry and we had loads of fun!”
