In the 10th edition of #IndianIdol, the music industry found an unique voice in the form of Salman Ali who was a first runner up of the show. He has lent his voice for #SalmanKhan starrer ‘#Dabangg3’. Now he is foraying into Marathi films as a playback singer and has recorded a marathi song for a Marathi film ‘#Anya’. There has been quite a few non-marathi singers who have recorded songs for marathi films and now Salman Ali joins the big list.

Producer Shelna K. And Simmy has co-produced ‘Anya’ with Capitalwoods under the banner of Initiative Films. The film is directed by Simmi Joseph. Simmi has made significant contributions to Southern films to this day. Following in the footsteps of veteran Hindi singers, Salman has made his debut in Marathi cinema. The film ‘Anya’, is a bilingual as it’s been shot in Marathi and Hindi, has Salman Ali singing Marathi as well as a Hindi song.

Salman has sung the Marathi song ‘Aik Pakhra …’ in Marathi. The song is written by Prashant Jamadar and Sajeev Sarathi and the composer Raamnath has successfully fulfilled the responsibility of composing melodious music. The song in Hindi is ‘O Re Parinde …’ which is written by Sajeev Sarathi. This song is also composed by Raamnath. Salman expressed his happiness that he got the opportunity to make his debut in Marathi through a Anya which deals with important societal issues. This was made possible by composer Raamnath and director Simmy Joseph. ‘Aik Pakhra …’ will definitely liked by his fans.

‘Anya’ is written by Mahendra Patil and the cinematography is by Sajjan Kalathil. In ‘Anya’, actors like Raima Sen, Atul Kulkarni, Prathamesh Parab, Tejashree Pradhan, Bhushan Pradhan, Krutika Dev, Sunil Tawde, Yashpal Sharma and Govind Namdev have portrayed various roles. ‘Anya’, which draws attention to burning issues in the society, will be released on June 10 all over India, including Maharashtra.
