Actor Meghan Jadhav who play Kartikey in Mahakaali talks about his childhood, first love and why he became an actor.

Tell us something about your childhood. What kind of kid you were a naughty or a mischievous share few incidents with us.
I have always been a mischievous kid! Also, I have had a crazy childhood because I got to see all kinds of phases. I would roam around the city all by myself because I loved doing that. I used to go to different places, be it temples, art museums or sports grounds because I was interested in everything.

What was the best part of college life? Tell us about your first crush.
The best part of college life was the part that came after the lectures got over. The part that involved spending time with your friends. Even the festivals or the events were more fun in those days! I remember having a major crush on my classmate! It took me six months to go up to her and talk and be her friend! I was that shy! Sadly, we only ended up becoming friends! Haha!

How did you get into acting? When did you discover the actor within you?
I started as a singer. I was learning music at an academy where a director came up to me and asked me if I would be interested in acting. I always wanted to act especially after watching ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Harry Potter’ films! Those were the films that made me want to get into acting.

Tell us something about the first audition of your career?
I remember giving my first audition for Hungama’s Channel ‘Talent Hunt’ in which if selected, the kid was going to get a chance to act with John Abraham in his film. It was fun because they gave us sandwiches and cakes for not making through to the next round!

Who you idolise when it comes to acting?
Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan. I admire them the most.

What kind of role attracts you the most
I love playing an underdog, making-it-big type of roles! I believe I have been that and so have many people. I also like to play historical figures.

If you were not an actor what profession you would choose?
Cricket for sure! I belong to the same school as Sachin Tendulkar My brother Mandar and I used to go to cricket practice every day. I even played for the school after which I took a break and then later at a university level and even captained a cricket series. But eventually, both my brother and I became actors.

Do you have any phobias? explain with example/incident.
I honestly I can’t think of anything!

Your philosophy of life
I do believe in miracles but I believe everything can be achieved through hard work. We just have to chase our dreams and remember every day is a new day and every day we have to start with zero savings.
