Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios Expands Its Cinematic Canvas with Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa!

After producing some of Hindi cinema’s most successful and widely discussed projects like Kabir Singh and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, producer Murad Khetani is now broadening the horizon of Cine1 Studios with Baththa, marking a major foray into South Indian cinema. Headlined by National Award-winning star Vijay Sethupathi and written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Balaji Tharaneetharan, the ambitious Tamil project unites Cine1 Studios with Atlee’s A For Apple Studios. With the teaser officially out, viewers have received their first look into the universe of Baththa ahead of its worldwide theatrical rollout on 1st October 2026.

Known for backing films that combine strong storytelling with wide audience appeal, Murad Khetani has steadily built Cine1 Studios into a banner associated with ambitious, commercially driven cinema. Baththa represents the next phase of that journey, as the studio looks beyond language boundaries to collaborate with leading filmmakers and talent from across the country. With Vijay Sethupathi leading the film and Sai Abhyankkar composing the music, the project brings together a formidable mix of creative voices.

Presented by Star Studio18 and Atlee, Baththa is jointly produced by of A For Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios. Set to release theatrically worldwide on 1st October 2026, the film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare.
