The Plot
Nude is the journey of a single mother. Like any other mother, she too dreams big for her only son and is determined to do anything to see him as an educated and successful man in life. The film Nude is about the mental turmoil of Yamuna, who is of the belief that being a nude model is not just a job and starts thinking that she is an integral part of the art school, to help the students and guide them to understand the anatomy of a female body. The only available option for Yamuna to see her son settled in life is to shed her inhibitions and clothes and become a nude model for the art students. Fearing the society, she keeps her profession a secret.
Says Ravi Jadhav, “Nude models shed their clothes to educate the art students. My film will showcase the stories and struggles of the nude models. Sadly due to the various social and political pressures, the nude models are on the verge of extinction today.”
