It;s said that daughters are close to their fathers and vice versa. You’ll totally believe it when you watch little princess Delicia in the company of he father Ronnie Rodrigues. Ronnie sir’s motto in life is Live Life King Size and he follows it to the ‘T’. Moreover he’s a King who genuinely cares about his kingdom and people.
Ronnie’s darling daughter Delicia’s fourth birthday was approaching and received a message from Ronnie sir stating, ‘You are booked from 20th February till 24th’. On enquiring I was given to understand that on 22nd February Ronnie sir will be celebrating his daughter’s birthday in Goa. Well he had booked his entire staff and relatives and a few friends for the occasion. As decided a big lot took an evening flight to Goa followed by few of us including Ronnie sir and his family. His favourite abode in Goa is a five star property Deltin Suites, which has an old Goa charm with five star luxuries, including Casinos, situated at Candolim. Candolim is very convenient location as one can reach Calangute or Mapuca or Panaji within a few minutes.
Next day the choice was between a Coco beach visit, highlight being the Dolphin show, or to explore  Panaji. Though quite a few opted for the former a few of us chose to visit Panaji as it’s the main market place in Goa. On 22nd a grand party was organised in another five star property Hyatt Centric’s ball room. Everybody was in a festive mood and after traditional cake cutting everybody was enjoying drinks and snacks. Variety of the choicest booze was flowing and also the highlight of the evening was variety of music from DJ Alex from Mumbai. Everybody grooved to the music in the company of belles from Russia and Ronnie sir regaled everyone with his iconic dancing steps on his favourite Bollywood numbers. He was making sure that everybody is having a good time and also induced many to take dance floor, announcing various prizes. Everybody danced till the wee hours. (Next day majority woke up with sore limbs, though)
Next day there was another surprise waiting for the visiting party. A Casino visit was planned for everyone. Actually a few of us made a quick visit to Mapuca in the afternoon and were delighted to get stuff with huge bargain, courtesy a Goan friend of our Mumbai friend. At night all of us were on a luxury cruise ship which houses Casino. It’s a five storey ship and booze was oozing and variety of food was served on all floors. We tried our hand at a few Casino tables but the card luck seemed to be missing. We headed to the uppermost deck and were entertained by programmes by Indian music bands and International dancers. Had a massive fun and returned to our hotel with heavy heart early morning.
Ronnie Rodrigues sir has been instrumental in introducing many to the unimagined world. His generosity knows no bounds and always keeps thinking of pleasing and entertaining others, though he too has a good time. A big, fat thank you to Ronnie sir from all of us at Cine Buster and our blessings will forever be with Papa’s darling princess Delicia.
