Rajniesh Duggal Set to Portray Viral Physics Wallah Educator Pankaj Sijairya in Upcoming Biopic!

Actor Rajniesh Duggal recently surprised Physics Wallah’s popular educator Pankaj Sijairya during an interaction by announcing an upcoming biopic centered on the teacher’s life, with Duggal attached to play the lead role. The project is written and helmed by James A., a former student of Sijairya, who is bringing his teacher’s inspiring journey from the classroom to the silver screen.

Pankaj Sijairya is an Organic Chemistry teacher at Physics Wallah, the education platform founded by Alakh Pandey. Known for his engaging and unconventional teaching style, Sijairya is among the most loved and viral teachers at Physics Wallah, with his ability to simplify complex Chemistry concepts through relatable examples, humour and his signature ‘Shayari’ making him particularly popular among students.

The reveal came during an Instagram Live conversation between Rajniesh Duggal and Pankaj Sijairya, when the actor told him about the film and the student behind it. Sharing his reaction to the script, Duggal said, “I have a very interesting surprise for you, Pankaj sir. One of your students has actually written the film and asked me if I would like to play your role in it. So I said 100% that if there is something like this, I would absolutely want to be a part of it. In fact, I finished the script today, and it is written in a very interesting way.”

The upcoming film will see Rajniesh step into the shoes of Sijairya, bringing the teacher’s journey to the big screen through the perspective of someone who has experienced his teaching first hand. Esha Talwar has also been roped in to play the female lead in the film.

For Rajniesh, the project marks an interesting opportunity to portray a real life personality whose story has been penned by someone who has personally known him as a student. The actor’s immediate response to the script, that he wanted to be a part of it, reflects his excitement about bringing Sijairya’s story to the screen.

The film is currently in development, with further details about the project expected to be revealed at a later stage.
