Set against the backdrop of bomb blasts in Mumbai, “Mission Mumbai” drops a poster!

The film revolves around the shocking question raised during a series of bomb explosions: out of 300 kg of RDX, only 100 kg was used—so what happened to the remaining 200 kg? The film promises to uncover this big truth through “Mumbai Mission.” Inspired by real events, this is a fictional cinematic retelling.

Produced by Revikanta Films and presented by Akat Distribution, the much‑awaited Marathi film “Mission Mumbai” had its official poster launched today on social media. Based on the Mumbai bomb blasts and the intense RDX search operation that followed, this thriller is slated to hit theatres on 15 May 2026. Actor Ajay Sharma will be seen in a key role as a police inspector, and watching him portray this character on the big screen is expected to be very engaging.

The film is produced by Mrs. Kanta Sharma, with direction by Chandrakant Vispute and Kailash Pawar. � “Mission Mumbai” is presented by Akat Distribution, and the story has been written by Chandrakant Vispute.

The music is composed by Sameer Khole, Mandar Keer, Ravindra Kharat, and Vicky Wagh, while the songs are sung by Sudesh Bhosale, Harshvardhan Wavre, Kasturi Sairam, Vicky Wagh, and Disha Sutar. Lyrics are penned by Krupesh, Vicky, Rajeev, and Bipin, and Babasaheb Patil serves as the executive producer.

Speaking about the film, director Chandrakant Vispute said, “That dark chapter in Mumbai’s history still lives in everyone’s memory. Inspired by real events, through ‘Mission Mumbai’ we are bringing to the screen, in fictional form, the courage and contribution of the police force during that search operation. The film will release in a theatre near you on 15 May.”
