Celebrities from all corners of the globe are currently coming together to lend their support in order to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic. Right from raising funds to providing support to healthcare workers on the frontline – they’re doing everything in their capacity. After providing his Juhu hotel in Mumbai for accommodation to Doctors, Nurses and para medical staff, B-town star Sonu Sood has now started a special food and ration drive to help the needy.

Sonu has started the initiative in the name of his late father, Shakti Sagar Sood that aims at feeding more than 45,000 people on a daily basis in Mumbai. The food and ration drive is called Shakti Annadanam and is said to be very close to his heart. The actor feels it’s extremely important to help and feed people right now as it’s the need of the hour and sad how several don’t have food right now for their survival. This is not the first time when Sood has helped individuals in the name of his father. Earlier too, he has feeded people at different Gurudwaras.

Opening up about the same, Sonu Sood said in a statement, “Right now we are all together in these tough times against the coronavirus. Some of us are blessed to have food and shelter but there are many who have not eaten meals in days and it’s really difficult for them. To help these people, I’ve started a special food and ration drive on my father’s name, which is called Shakti Annadanam. I hope I am able to help as many people as possible.”

We are sure with this heartwarming initiative, Sonu Sood is not just going to feed the hungry but also win hearts of many.
