‘Chala Hava Yeu Dya’ (CHYD). Audiences are in for a Diwali treat as they are about to get double dhamaka with the entry of superstar Swwapnil Joshi.
Chala Hawa Yeu Dya, the most popular Marathi comedy show is all set to have more fun as leading actor and chocolate hero Swwapnil Joshi will now be part of it. The actor will be in the judge’s chair in the front of the popular stage of the show, which is popular among Marathi speaking audience. He will be in the role of a commentator and co-star of the set of comedians who are amongst the best actors on Marathi stage and part of Chala Hawa Yeu Dya for last six years.
The comedy show is presenting a new form of episodes during the Diwali festival. The residents of Thukaratwadi, the village depicted in one of the forms of various one-act plays presented on the show, are living in an age-old palace. The palace belonged to Maharaja Pradip Singh alias Bachchu Joshi who ruled more than 500 years ago. The residents of Thukaratwadi have messed up with the structure inviting wrath of the soul of the late king. His soul appears in person and captures the residents of Thukaratwadi. As a punishment of their misdeeds, he asks them to entertain him.
The soul of the king is played by none other than Swapnil Joshi, a leading actor in Marathi and Hindi film industry. Joshi will participate in the game of entertainment with the popular actors of Chala Hawa Yeu Dya. This is going to keep the audience in splits. The new form of the show conceptualised especially for the Diwali is being shot at a farm house, where all the actors have been staying for seven days of Diwali. It is going to be a treat for the Marathi audiences.
Swwapnil Joshi is familiar face for the audiences of the as he has been appearing on the show regularly as a celebrity guest. His presence will help raise the bar up of the comedy on the show. A different environment is set to be taken place on CHYD.
“I am not new to the CHYD team. I have been part of the show on several occasions as a celebrity guest. Besides it, I was judge on the comedy show ‘Fu Bai Fu’, from where most of the comedians from #ChalaHavaYeuDya shot to the fame. Actors like Bhau Kadam, Kushal Badrike, Shreya Bugade were participants of the Fu Bai Fu, while Nilesh Sable had anchored it. The actors are one of the finest sets of comedy actors in the industry today. I am big fan of these actors. In my new responsibility I would get the opportunity to enjoy them perform sitting in front of them, appreciate their performances, pull their legs and get some in exchange. I would also be able to bring the celebrities coming on the show to the comfort level,” he said.
Swwapnil said that it would be a Win-Win situation for him. “Besides de-stressing myself and enjoying the show first hand, I would also get an opportunity to get connected with my fans. Thus, it would be double advantage for me. All because of this, I have been eagerly looking forward to be part of this show,” he added.
