Tumbadchi Manjula

The Poster of Full-On Comedy-Horror Entertainer, ‘Tumbadchi Manjula’ Unveiled!

The new poster of the film Tumbadchi Manjula, produced by Zee Studios, has been released on social media and has now become the talk of the town. The poster presents a striking concept: the powerful foot of a woman, adorned with a red sari and anklets, stepping towards the village and its people, while the frightened villagers are seen running away. Along with all this chaos, there is also a quirky comic touch visible in the poster. From this, it is clear that the film will not only scare the audience but also make them laugh out loud.
The atmosphere of a Konkan village in the poster, the rising dust, the scared people and the looming shadow over them – everything hints that something unexpected is about to happen. So who exactly is this “Manjula”? A ghost? Or something completely different? To unravel the mystery behind all this chaos, the audience will have to wait until 5 June.

Speaking about the unique concept of this poster, Bavyesh Janavlekar, Business Head of Zee Studios Marathi, says, “The poster plays a very important role among the key elements that create curiosity about any film. That is why our thought was that the poster should give an idea of the story and subject of the film, while still keeping the mystery intact. Along with this, we also wanted viewers to be introduced afresh to the many powerful actors in the film, and that was the purpose behind designing this poster. We are sure this will increase the audience’s curiosity. This story, set in a Konkan village, revolving around its eccentric people and the mysterious character ‘Manjula’, will offer viewers a completely different experience. It is a full-on comedy-horror entertainer and can be enjoyed with the entire family.”

Written by Rishikesh Turai and directed by Vividh Korgaonkar, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Jitendra Joshi, Sai Tamhankar, Om Bhutkar, Makarand Anaspure, Anshuman Vichare, Yogesh Shirsat, Ganesh Pandit, Siddheshwar Zhadbuke, Varsha Dandale, Shardul Saraf, child star Atharv Ruke, Priyal Naik, and Usha Nadkarni. The film is produced by Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bavyesh Janavlekar for Zee Studios and will hit theatres on 5 June.
