11 Years of Baahubali: The Beginning! Celebrating the Masterpiece That Sparked India’s Pan-India Era!
After rewriting box office history and setting unprecedented benchmarks worldwide, the legacy of Baahubali is set to reach new heights with Baahubali: The Eternal War!
More than a decade ago, S. S. Rajamouli redefined the landscape of Indian cinema with the release of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), the opening chapter of his legendary duology. Combining an epic storyline, unforgettable characters, powerhouse performances, and a timeless musical score, the grand visual spectacle transcended regional borders to launch a true pan-India revolution. Eleven years later, the film’s towering legacy remains unmatched, standing as a gold standard for monumental, boundary-pushing entertainment.
As Baahubali: The Beginning clocks 11 years, the makers took to their social media and shared a poster and jotted down the caption –
“Broke every Boundary. Turned every challenge into HISTORY!

Baahubali: The Beginning featured Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The film follows the story of Sivudu, an adventurous young man who helps his love, Avantika, rescue Devasena, the princess of Kunthala, who is held captive under the tyrannical rule of King Bhallaladeva. While the film received tremendous love from audiences, it left everyone with the iconic question, “Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?”, which served as a massive cliffhanger and perfectly set the stage for its sequel, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
The film won several prestigious awards, including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film and the National Film Award for Best Special Effects. It also boasted a blockbuster music album featuring chartbuster songs such as Khoya Hain, Kaun Hain Voh, Panchhi Bole, and Manohari. Baahubali: The Beginning was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.
Moreover, as the journey of Baahubali goes ahead with Baahubali: The Eternal War, S. S. Rajamouli says, “Indian mythology is so rich in its vivid descriptions about characters of other worlds,” Rajamouli said. “Animation is the only place where you can do justice to that description. Ishan was the person we were rating for to take ‘Baahubali’ to the next step.”
Baahubali: The Eternal War is a two-part animated epic directed by award-winning filmmaker Ishan Shukla. The film sits right in between Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion, where we will see the journey of Amrendra Baahubali after his death challenging Gods. The teaser of Part 1 has already been released, and the film is slated for release in 2027.
